CHRISTMAS starts very soon at the Doncaster Dome when the first of a series of festive events kicks off.

First up is Roy Wood, of Wizzard fame, who is responsible for that Christmas favourite hit from the 1970s, I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day. He will be on the stage at the Dome on November 29, officially starting Christmas at the venue.

Then comes the Jongleurs Comedy Christmas events which takes place on Friday 4 and Friday 11 December, when three of the best stand-up comedians from the UK’s stand-up circuit will take to the stage for an evening of laughter and jokes.

Guests will be treated to a fantastic Indian Buffet provided by the award winning Aagrah Restaurant followed by a DJ and dancing.
Chris Hone, head of commercial development said: “Roy Wood is an amazing way for us to get people in the Christmas spirit. From November 29 we will be in full Christmas mode.
“The Christmas Comedy events were so popular last year that we had to bring them back again.
“We’ve also got our traditional Christmas party nights which are great for businesses and for groups of friends and family.
“They include a four course meal, fantastic live music from local band The Silvertones and of course lots of dancing!
“Businesses who want to have a private party for their staff can book the function suite for up to 100 people and packages can be tailor made to suite with everything from personal DJs to Karaoke on offer.
“We are really looking forward to welcoming people to the Dome this Christmas for a party to remember!”
