STUDENTS at a Doncaster College are sending out an urgent plea for felled timber to help them make Christmas Reindeer decorations.

The group from Communication Specialist College Doncaster’s carpentry course were lucky enough to receive timber from recently felled trees last year which enabled the students to produce Christmas Reindeer.

Chris Monk, tutor at Communication Specialist College Doncaster, part of Doncaster Deaf Trust said: “Last year our students tried their hand at making Christmas Reindeer from donated timber and were able to create a fantastic decoration which was snapped up by staff, families and friends.

“These reindeer proved so popular that we had a waiting list. We’ve already had people contacting us to see if we are doing them again and we’d love to but we need timber.

“We are hoping that someone will hear our plea and donate recently felled timber to us so that we can make the reindeer again this year.”

Anyone wishing to donate timber can do so by contacting Chris on 01302 386700
